"Hearing one person tell their story gave a completely different perspective to what happened, as it wasn't about statistics or about a nation as a whole, but one person who lost his family and home." ~O. Avery (student)

Update - Legacy Project

The Holocaust Awareness Museum and Education Center and Flim Films continue working on the Legacy Project. Gunter Hauer, a Holocaust survivor, commemorated Holocaust Remembrance Day on Monday, April 28th by sharing his testimony in front of the camera.

For the next few months we will be filming more of the Holocaust survivors we work with. It's not too late to donate! More donations for our Legacy Project ensures filming of more survivors.

Want to Help Lobby for the Holocaust Education Mandate?

Click Here to find your local State Representative

Here is a script we suggest you use when you call them:
"Hi, I am calling because I know that the Mandate for Holocaust Education is up for vote in the State Legislature. I believe Holocaust Education must be mandated in the State of Pennsylvania to ensure the future of our children and future generations. We want our children to know that unchecked hatred can cause horrific consequences. We must all take a collective responsibility in making sure our world is civilized and that we learn from History what can occur. The best place for this education to occur is within our schools. Please vote for a mandatory State Mandate for Holocaust Education. Thank you for your consideration of this very important mandate."
