Steven Spielberg to be Awarded 2009 Liberty Medal in Philadelphia
On October 8th, Steven Spielberg will be awarded the 2009 Liberty Medal at Philadelphia's National Constitution Center. Former President Bill Clinton will award the blockbuster director (Shindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, Amistad) for founding the Shoah Foundation, an international organization aimed at video recording Holocaust survivor's testimony. Since 1994, when the Foundation was founded, they have interviewed nearly 52,000 survivors in 56 countries and 32 languages.
