US House of Foreign Affairs passes non-binding resolution recognizing Armenian genocide

In a 23-22 vote, the US House of Foreign Affairs passed a non-binding resolution recognizing the Armenian genocide on Friday March 5, calling for President Obama to officially recognize the genocide. The White House pressured the committee not to pass it, claiming it would damage Turkish-American relations.
